Hilton Creek Trail to Hilton Lakes via the Rock Creek approach, Inyo National Forest

Mileage: ~ 11.5 – 17 miles round trip
Elevation gain: 2,000’ +

WARNING:
MOSQUITOES WILL LIKELY BE BAD 🦟🦟🦟 but the views will be more killer! If theres a lot of snow left the skeeters won’t be as bad as usual.
Itinerary:
- Sat. June 15:
meet at trailhead at 8am, hike up to explore lake 3, then to lake 2 and set up camp. Explore, fish, relax. - Sun. June 16:
hike about 3 miles to Davis Lake, explore, fish, then hike 3 miles back to base camp. - Mon. June 17:
hike out and get some grub at the resort or Tom’s Place!

Friday night, I recommend getting a campsite somewhere up Rock Creek so you can get to the trailhead quicker. I do not know which campgrounds will be open mid-June but you should be safe with French Camp at the bottom of rock creek at least.
I will not be arranging carpools as I live in Bishop.
Dogs are allowed but they must well-behaved and obedient 🙂
